Good News Weapon Seizure in Windrush Square

Today (Tuesday 6th October), officers from the Windrush Safer Neighbourhood Team recovered four knives during proactive patrols in Windrush Square, Brixton.

The knives were found discarded by bushes within the square, where they were concealed from public view. All four weapons were safely seized and removed from circulation.

This recovery highlights the importance of regular neighbourhood patrols and our continued efforts to keep local public spaces safe. While these items may have gone unnoticed, their removal reduces the risk of harm to residents, visitors and members of the community who use Windrush Square every day.

We remain committed to working alongside our community to tackle violence, prevent crime and ensure Brixton remains a safe and welcoming place for all.
